Warehouse positions are primarily engaged in operating warehousing and storage facilities for general merchandise, refrigerated goods, and other warehouse products. Warehouse workers take responsibility for storing the goods and keeping them secure. They may also provide a range of services, often referred to as logistics services, related to the distribution of goods.
 
Logistics services can include:
  • labeling and breaking bulk
  • inventory control and management
  • light assembly
  • order entry and fulfillment
  • packaging, pick and pack
  • price marking and ticketing, and

Light Industrial

Light industrial workers keep office buildings, hospitals, stores, apartments, hotels, and residences clean, sanitary, and in good condition.  Some do only cleaning, while others have a wide range of duties.  Others may perform a variety of tasks necessary to achieve a pleasant and functional outdoor environment. They mow lawns, rake leaves, trim hedges and trees; plant flowers; and otherwise ensure that the grounds of houses, businesses, and parks are attractive, orderly, and healthy. They also care for indoor gardens and plantings in commercial and public facilities, such as malls, hotels, and botanical gardens.
