Caretaker

Job Overview

Caretakers are responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of a private property.  Caretakers typically live on-site, and are able to respond to any maintenance need with speed and competence.  Their work may take place while the owner is at home or away.  Caretakers are responsible for minor repairs, system checks (such as heating and air conditioning), and removal of trash.  In cases where more significant repairs are needed, Caretakers will coordinate with the appropriate specialists to ensure that proper working order is restored.
Caretakers may also be responsible for the upkeep of the grounds, including mowing, trimming, weeding, and seasonal planting.  They may assist in the care of pets or animals at the property, overseeing proper feeding, exercise, and health practices.
