Investment Manager

Alternate Titles: Portfolio Manager

Investment Managers research and make investments in portfolios of securities on behalf of their clients, with the goal of maximizing client profit.  These investments must align with the objectives and limitations set by the client.  Investment Managers also manage and monitor client portfolios, buy and sell securities, and settle transactions.  They assess risk, and then recommend strategies for reducing it.  They are also responsible for tracking and measuring performance, and handling all regulatory and client reporting.
Investment Managers are required to have a Bachelor’s degree in Finance or a closely related field.  Prior experience in financial analysis is strongly preferred.
