Media Buyers buy advertising space in a range of media outlets, such as websites, newspapers, radio, and television. Media Buyers research and understand factors such as the cost and target audience of different types of media, and can develop strategies and recommend plans for their clients. Media Buyers make suggestions about how long the campaign should last, where and when advertising space should be bought, and how many advertisements should run per week.

Media Buyers need to have exceptional research, written, and verbal communication skills. They must be detail-oriented and organized, and understand current marketing and advertising trends and requirements. Most Media Buyers have a Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
