Mortgage Closer

Mortgage Closers coordinate the mortgage closing process, which sees the home buyer officially transition to a homeowner.  Mortgage Closers schedule the loan closing and compile and type closing documents.  They review the approved mortgage loan to determine conditions that must be met prior to closing, request specified documents, and verify the accuracy and consistency of document specifications.  They consult with the home buyer, helping to clarify various aspects of the process and facilitating the payment of closing costs.  Mortgage Closers record loan information and ensure that it is reported or delivered to the appropriate parties.

Mortgage Closers are required to have at least a high school degree or GED, and are preferred to have a year or more of experience in closing mortgages.
