Search Engine Marketing (SEM) Specialist

Position Overview
Search Engine Marketing Specialists develop marketing campaigns around identified keywords that relate to a client’s business in order to convert site users into consumers.
 
Requirements
Education/Certifications/Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Business, Marketing, or Advertising
  • Google AdWords and/or MSN Pay Per Click certification a strong plus
  • 1-3 years’ experience
Computer Skills
  • Strong background in Google Analytics
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Outstanding writing skills
  • Strong online research abilities
  • Knowledge of industry best practices
Essential Functions, Duties, & Responsibilities
  • Creates strategies with prominent search engines such as Google, Yahoo, and Bing
  • Develop and test new keywords
  • Manages online marketing campaigns, such as Pay-Per-Click
  • Analyzes and increase consumer click-through rates
  • Makes recommendations to clients on how to use search terms in their web content
  • Conducts online research
