Recognizing that the searches would be challenging, J. Kent’s experienced Recruiters met in February, 2011 with the company’s key management team.  Through J. Kent’s consultative approach, our Denver Recruiters quickly came to respect and understand the insurance broker’s key management team and their strategic hiring goals for 2011.  Beginning with the J. Kent Process, job descriptions and the firm’s hiring process were defined and a 2011 search plan for the “new hires” was created.

Mediocrity was not an option for J. Kent’s client as they were clear in their decisive 2011 “New Hire” Strategy.  J. Kent Recruiters, having worked closely with the client prior to commencing the search, fully understood the client's mission and strategic hiring goals.  Three targeted searches were conducted for the client in 2011 for the following positions:

  • Account Manager Assistant
  • Business Development Specialist
  • Account Manager

Denver Insurance Broker Interviews Only 4 Candidates in 2011 - Adds 3 “New Hires” to Team
Respecting the client’s decisive, committed 2011 “new hire” strategy, and knowing that the candidate pool was limited based on the requirements, J. Kent’s Denver recruiters began to target the talent they needed.  Long hours were logged through the J. Kent Process; and many candidates during the year were eliminated.  Ultimately,  4 candidates were identified that met our client’s “top 5%” criteria, and three out of the four were hired for the 3 positions.  Although many candidates completed the full J. Kent Process, only those 4 candidates met all the requirements and subsequently were called by the J. Kent Recruiter to interview with the client in 2011.

The Hiring Metrics - Awesome!
One of the many hiring metrics studied in human resource management is the conversion ratio of candidates interviewed versus hires made. Sound search and recruiting practices are certainly the backbone of this metric.  However, J. Kent’s Recruiters, embracing the challenge of finding top tier talent for this client hit the nail on the head, without wasting the Employer’s valuable time meeting with unqualified candidates or with those who are not the right cultural fit for the company.
