Candidate Referred by J. Kent Client Hired for 3-Month Assignment

Dallas

Administrative Assistant

At J. Kent Staffing, we are continually adding to our candidate pool through high-quality referrals and Dallas’ story is a great testament to that! Dallas was referred to her J. Kent Recruiter by her step-mother, who is one of our corporate clients at a Denver based real estate development, investment, and property management firm.

Dallas grew up in Denver and developed a passion for theatre from a young age. Her passion took her to Nebraska Wesleyan University where she attained a BFA in Theatre in 2017 and then headed to New York City to pursue her dreams. Unable to break into the acting scene, Dallas worked a temporary administrative assistant/office manager job before landing an Executive Assistant position for a company that sells merchandise at all of the theatrical performances on Broadway. Even though she wasn’t on stage, she felt fortunate to find work in the theatre industry.

After 2 years in New York, Dallas decided to return home to Colorado. With her step-mother’s referral to J. Kent, Dallas had perfect timing to be able to start working right away on a 3-month temporary assignment to cover a maternity leave. Our aviation industry client is a Fixed Base Operator providing services to smaller airports throughout the country. Dallas was one of 2 candidates to interview for the position at their Denver headquarters and her poise, communication skills, and positive attitude quickly got her the job!

Due to turnover in our client’s accounts payable department shortly after Dallas started, she was also trained in A/P, which was a great opportunity for her to attain more skills. Dallas will be completing her assignment in the coming weeks but was grateful to be able to find a challenging interim position after her relocation back to her hometown.

Congratulations on a job well done, Dallas!

UPDATE: Our client hired Dallas on as their own employee 5 months after she began her temporary assignment. Congratulations on your new, well-deserved role Dallas!
