College Athlete Finds New Work Home off the Field

Jackie

Administrative Assistant

Jackie began playing competitive volleyball at the age of 10 and continued on through college, earning a scholarship to the Metropolitan State University of Denver that caused her to leave her home in California and head to Denver.

After college, she went back to California for a year but missed Denver and decided to return. Before moving back, Jackie connected with a J. Kent Recruiter and found herself with a job offer within a week of returning.

Jackie’s new job is with the global headquarters of an international nonprofit trade and marketing association that supports the agricultural industry. They are dedicated to their policy of promoting from within and keep coming back to J. Kent Staffing to help them hire another Administrative Assistant as they move people up through their ranks.

Our client’s requirements for the role were a college degree, 1+ years of administrative experience, good computer and writing skills, and a strong work ethic. With her BS in Business Marketing, a year of prior experience as an Administrative Assistant, and a proven work ethic from her time as a student-athlete, Jackie’s J. Kent Recruiter quickly identified her as the right profile for our client. Our client agreed and – after one interview – Jackie was extended an offer of employment which she was thrilled to accept.

We wish you the best of luck in your new role, Jackie!
