Commercial interior design is a multi-faceted endeavor in which creative and technical solutions are applied within a structure to achieve a built interior environment.  In today’s regulated environment, Denver designers must also understand and adhere to codes and stringent regulatory requirements and to encourage the principles of environmental sustainability.  This is an exciting, interesting career choice especially with new environmental considerations promoted through LEED certifications.

Denver Commercial Design Firm Specializing in Healthcare Seeks Administrative Assistant with Advanced Computer Skills

In May 2012, a Denver based, woman-owned commercial interior design firm specializing in healthcare facilities, education and research facilities, libraries and hospitality, engaged J. Kent Staffing to conduct an immediate search and recruiting effort for their Administrative Assistant.  The position needed to be filled quickly, as it was the only administrative position supporting 13 design professionals.  Projects, bid preparation and professional corporate presentations are carried out under daily deadlines by the organization’s team members and the talents of a professional Administrative Assistant were paramount to the firm’s on-time execution of design service deliverables.

Therefore, it was imperative for the new Denver Administrative Assistant to have advanced and competent computer skills, to include MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook), which the Principals recognized as integral to the success of the firm.  At our client’s direction, J. Kent employed the Temp-to-Hire Staffing Option to test performance, productivity and cultural fit for the top Denver commercial interior design organization.

Gutsy, Young Professional Finds Creative Denver Administrative Assistant Job

The Donna Karan design internship propelled Kelsey back to New York for her first job.  The fashion industry in New York presented Kelsey with the opportunity to find work in her major of Apparel Design.   These were interesting, creative, and challenging times for the newly minted college graduate. This was a time of exploration and self- discovery.  The years with fashion house Bernard Chaus offered excellent training and learning opportunities.

However, after two years in the “Big Apple” and with a broader perspective of the world, the gutsy, young professional made a life changing decision, a move to Denver, Colorado.  Although Kelsey recognized that Denver was not the fashion mecca of the world, she felt secure in her decision that other creative, stimulating design opportunities would present themselves in Denver’s Mile High City framed by Colorado’s majestic Rocky Mountains.
