Technical Account Manager - Real Time Business Intelligence

The Denver, Colorado business landscape is a very competitive environment.  The business climate in our Mile High City is highly entrepreneurial, and this spirit can be found in almost every industry and business sector. Whether a Denver executive is in a start-up organization, or at the helm of a well-established enterprise, he or she is steering the corporate ship with a relentless passion to grow their companies in order to compete globally, either organically or through acquisition

“Big Data”, Real Time Business Intelligence, GPS Tracking

Today’s sophisticated information technologies that help grow organizations include “Big Data, “Real Time Business Intelligence” and GPS tracking.  Therefore, in order for companies to meet or exceed high consumer expectation, it is imperative to have these technologies available  for the Denver executive to make sound business decisions based on the most current (“Real Time”) data available in order to:

  1. improve customer relationships,
  2. increase revenue,
  3. maximize operational efficiencies, and
  4. increase safety and profitability.

Denver Entrepreneurs Capture “Real Time” Big Data Concept

Founded in 2004, our Denver based client recognized and captured the concept of “Real Time” data, applying it to everyday business operations. The concept is simple. Use the Global Positioning System (GPS) tracking units to create and maximize operational efficiencies for their oil and gas clients and municipalities.  Such a simple concept, using sophisticated technologies, spurred significant organic growth, but also a staffing challenge.  Therefore, as an internet software solutions provider, the executive team quickly realized that its staff, in every department of the company, had to be technically savvy, and have the ability to embrace and learn new “Real Time” technologies under development.

Technical Account Manager – Temp-to-Hire Opportunity

With continued sales growth in their service lines of fleet management and driver safety, lone worker safety and asset monitoring, an addition to staff for the position of Technical Account Manager was approved.  The position would work closely with engineers to teach them the custom designed software for one of the company’s service lines, and continue to provide on-going support.  The Director of Sales had been searching for a Technical Account Manager with strong customer foucs for many months without much success.  That right combination and balance of technical and analytical skills, and a sales aptitude with exceptional customer service abilities were tough to find. Finally, the Director of Sales engaged J. Kent Staffing to identify the right candidate for the organization’s Temp-to-Hire opportunity.

What is a GPS Tracking Unit?

A GPS tracking unit is a device that uses the Global Positioning System to determine the precise location of a vehicle, person, or other asset to which it is attached and to record the position of the asset at regular intervals. The recorded location data can be stored within the tracking unit, or it may be transmitted to a central location data base, or internet-connected computer, using a cellular (GPRS or SMS), radio, or satellite modem embedded in the unit. This allows the asset’s location to be displayed against a map backdrop either in real time or when analysing the track later, using GPS tracking software.
