Nick’s journey is a great reminder of how personal connections can play an instrumental role in career advancement. While professional skills are essential, sometimes it’s also about who you know that can make the difference in landing your next opportunity.
Nick was first placed by J. Kent Staffing with a clean energy technology company in December 2022, where he quickly made his mark as a Technical Project Manager and was hired on by our client five months later. He led the development and automation of sales and operations platforms, improving efficiency and saving significant time for the operations team. Unfortunately, he lost his job due to company-wide layoffs in late 2024.
After the setback, Nick turned to J. Kent Staffing again. A long-time friend of one of J. Kent’s Recruiters, it was clear that Nick’s track record of experience made him an ideal candidate for new opportunities. He was soon in the mix for a Project Manager position at a global real estate investment and logistics firm. Nick’s strong technical project management skills and cultural fit made him stand out in our client’s interview process. He was hired by J. Kent Staffing for the second time in February 2025.
Now, Nick is thriving in a hybrid contract-to-hire position, managing a capital deployment project for the construction of our client’s warehousing and internal development department verticals that support real estate operations. While Nick’s skills speak for themselves, his story is a testament to how personal connections can open doors in your career development.
Like many Coloradoans, Nick takes full advantage of numerous outdoor activities such as hiking, camping, and skiing. He and his girlfriend enjoy living in Wash Park and sharing good times with friends, as well as with dog pals shown in this photo – Remi (Golden Retriever) and Sasha (Bernese Mountain Dog).
